Calshot Group is a unique shipwright and restoration yard, with distinctive values built round an artisan approach to craftsmanship, and a commitment to allow creative self-expression within its highly skilled workforce. This means all our projects have real soul and identity, anchored in repurposing and restoration.  The values that Calshot group have been built on establish it as a world class centre for ship restoration. Once more projects are released, the workmanship, detailing and the use of repurposed materials regularly used by Calshot will become recognised as characteristic hallmarks of the yard.

The values we abide by are fundamental to the quality and creativity of our work. Entrepreneurship is all about execution and the business principles and approach taken by Calshot, whilst very delivery focused, has a creativity and spontaneity inspired by the materials themselves. 

We know we have some of the best craftsmen in the industry and we give them the opportunity to challenge conventional approaches.  We encourage a far more collaborative and creative process at the point of manufacture and installation than allowed for in a more traditional yard relationship with client and build contractor. We have tremendous pride in the sympathetic restoration these craftsmen have achieved here at James' Wharf itself, which honours the beauty and industrial strength of her past. Our home acts as a clear demonstration to any client of our values, our approach and the results we can achieve.
